I went back to the library today, and mrs. brooke wasn't there, so I thought I dig around a bit without getting side-eyed into the next dimension. I wanted to look further back, since from what I can tell, people have been going missing since the founding of town. I wanted to look at the 1989 files, but they were gone. I'm not sure if they were missing or damaged but they were just gone. From December 31st 1988 to January 1st 1990 there's nothing, not a single record of anything that happened in this town. no explanation. I asked the temp librarian Casey if he'd ever had them he just shrugged and said sometimes film gets damaged.

The reels weren't damaged though. the labels were removed cleanly, and the slots where they were supposed to be were empty. the index log is still there like they're supposed to be there but they're not.

I'm going to keep digging. this gap in the timeline is weird and significant setback but I'll figure it out I'm sure.
